Take action for public lands

UPDATE: On Tuesday, Feb. 12, the U.S. Senate voted to pass a public lands package — which included permanent reauthorization of LWCF. This is a HUGE win! Please help us get these bills through the House by urging your representative to vote in favor of this historic public lands package.

In December, we told you about a package of important public lands bills up for consideration by Congress. Though the package failed to pass before the end of the legislative session, lawmakers promised to keep pushing forward — and now a public lands package is once again poised for consideration.

One of the most important parts of this package is permanent reauthorization for the Land and Water Conservation Fund. This would eliminate the pain of annual reauthorization debates (sweet!) and allow Congress to instead focus on how much money will be allocated to the fund.

We invite you to join us in supporting these bills by urging your senators to vote in favor of this new public land’s package. We’ve made things simple by drafting a letter for you — all you need to do is add a few details (like your name) and click “Take Action Now.”
