I started two years ago

Most everyone has a memory from childhood about riding a bike. I guess that’s all I had about two years ago, memories of riding when I was young. For years a Wal-Mart rust bucket “mountain bike” was pushed around in our garage but never used. One day my wife asked if I wanted a new bike for my birthday and suddenly it was like being a kid again. I was riding it to work, riding all over town, running errands and having a blast. Now that I’m into my second season of road biking and looking at possibly riding 1,000 miles for the summer (which isn’t bad for a working guy with family and living in MN) I am pretty hooked on biking all around. I like reading about biking, learning about bikes, seeing new technology incorporated into bikes, and being a part of creating a culture for biking within my own community. I appreciate every bike lane and fully support ideas that would accomidate and/or encourage our communities to hangup the car keys and hop on a bike for whatever drive they would have done in a car!
