For me, getting away from the daily stresses of life is getting harder and harder to do. I am a long time climber and my wife and I had a baby 18 months ago. Going climbing outside is almost a thing of the past. As our little guy gets bigger and older, getting back outside regularly will be much easier.
This is where mountain biking for me is a wonderful and very easy escape. Unlike climbing, if you have an extra hour or even just 30 minutes, getting on the bike and leaving everything behind is such a wonderful stress reliever. Living in Colorado and mountain biking seem to go hand in hand. There are so many wonderful trails all over Colorado, that I doubt that I will ever do them all.
Biking to me means getting away.
