Did you know that there’s no safe way for people on bikes to cross the Susquehanna River in the state of Maryland? Instead of being able to cruise across one of the many bridges pictured above, cyclists have to ride 42 miles into Pennsylvania to get across the great river.
However, one of the current Maryland bridges is being updated, and with your help, we can get a safe bike path on it. This bridge could then host several significant bike routes, including the East Coast Greenway, the Washington-Rochambeau National Historic Trail, and the September 11th National Memorial Trail.
Sign this petition today to let the bridge planners know that a safe crossing for bicyclists is important to you.
Thanks for helping us make bicycling better in Maryland!
