Bureau of Land Management e-bike rulemaking
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is proposing new regulations to increase e-bike access on federal public lands. This would be accomplished by removing e-bikes from the definition of off-road vehicles, allowing local land managers to determine e-bike access in appropriate locations (including non-motorized areas), and requiring that e-bikes comply with the laws that apply to bicycles.
The proposed regulations and a summary can be found on our website.
