I am a family physician, and the decline in the health of the American people in that past few decades is frightening. Ten years ago, my arthritic conditions caused me to experience incredible pain when I walked. Walking was no longer an option for me. I took up cycling (learning to clip into the pedals) so I could get relief from the joint pain in my ankles, and still get some exercise. I have competed in three National Senior Olympic games in 2011, 3013 and 2015, representing the Sate of Montana. I challenge all of our state representatives and senators to make it easier for Montanans (and our visitors) to bicycle and walk in this beautiful state. The health of our citizens is too important to have partisan battles!
